Title:
A SYSTEM FOR SUBSEQUENT REPLACING OF HEADS OF TOOTH-BRUSHES ON A HANDLE NOT TO BE THROWN AWAY, FOR ECOLOGICAL PURPOSES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/025630
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A system for subsequent replacing of heads of tooth-brushes on a handle not to be thrown away, for ecological purposes, that provides the separate production of tooth-brushes' heads provided with bristles (S) and handles (M) to which said heads may be applied to, by joint (1, 2, 3, 4) or in any other manner, so that following to the wearing of the bristles, said heads only may be thrown away while the handle - that makes a considerable percentage of the total mass - may be used again.

CLAIMS
1. A system for subsequent replacing of heads of tooth brushes on handles not to be thrown away, for ecological purposes, characterized in a toothbrush's h e a d provided with bristles (S) and with an internal cavity (1), with standstill housings (2), for receiving a pressure or release insertion of a corresponding extroversion with elastic prongs (3), with shapes (4), that may be inserted into said housings (2), arranged on the front end of the handle (M) in such a way that, following to wear after some time of use, it allows said head to be easily removed, thrown away and replace many times with a new one, while the handle remains, thus reducing in a drastic way the production of solid, nonbiodegradable waste.
2. A system according to claim 1, characterized in the bayonet connection between the head (S) and the handle (M).
3. A system according to claim 1, characterized in the screw connection between the head (S) ad the handle (M).
4. A system according to claim 1, characterized in the change of the relative positions of the cavity (1) and of the extroversion (3).
Description:
"A SYSTEM FOR SUBSEQUENT REPLACING OF HEADS OF TOOTH-BRUSHES ON A HANDLE NOT TO BE THROWN AWAY, FOR ECOLOGICAL PURPOSES" The present invention concerns a system for subsequent replacing of heads of tooth-brushes on a handle not to be thrown away, for ecological purposes.

It is weli known that at present, and in the current consumer's society all daily actions, even eating or washing, produce-sometimes in an senseless way-a great amount of waste, in particular solid waste that is hardly biogradable.

One of those daily actions is the one of cleaning one's teeth which, in consideration of the fact that each user uses four or five tooth-brushes a year, produces as a whole thousands of tons of waste in each industrialized Country.

The aim of the present invention is the ecological one to considerably reduce the production of said waste b y means of an easy, functional and cheap system.

The aim set forth is reached by means of the system according to the present invention, that provides the separate production of tooth-brushes'heads provided with bristles and handles to which said heads may be applied to, by joint or in any other manner, so that following to the wearing of the bristles, said heads only may be thrown away while the handle-that makes a considerable percentage of the total mass-may be used again.

The ecological advantage deriving from the reduction of solid waste is evident.

The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclose drawings in which an embodiment is shown.

Figure 1 shows a lateral transparency view of a new tooth-brush realized following to the system according to the present invention.

Figure 2 shows a plant and transparency scheme of the system according to the present invention.

The enclose figures show a system for the subsequent replacing of heads of tooth-brushes onto a handle not to be thrown away, for ecotogical purposes, comprising a tooth-brush's head provided with bristles S and with an internal cavity 1, with standstill housings 2, for receiving a pres-sure, release, bayonet or screw insertion of a correspond- ing extroversion with elastic prongs 3 with shapes 4, that may be inserted into said housings 2, arranged on the front end of the handle M in such a way that, following to wear after some time of use, it allows said head to be easily removed, thrown away and replace many times with a new one, while the handle remains, thus reducing in a drastic way the production of solid, non-biodegradable waste.

In possible variants the position of cavity 1 and of extroversion 3 may be changed, for the same purpose.

In further variants, the connection between said head and said handle may be obtained with screw or bayonet devices or with other devices of known kind.
