Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/174608
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for supplying energy to an electric vehicle (7) which does not travel on rails, having an electric traction drive during travel on a road (1) comprising at least one lane (2). Running alongside the lane (2) is a contact line of a contact line system for supplying traction. The electric vehicle (7) comprises a laterally extendible current collector (14) which can be brought into sliding contact with the contact line for the purpose of supplying energy during travel. The invention thus provides a system for supplying energy to electric vehicles, particularly passenger vehicles, which is also suitable for long-distance journeys.
