Abstract:
Articles are delivered economically and efficiently to stores within a predetermined area. When articles are to be delivered from a base (202) to a plurality of stores (204) within the area (200) containing the base (202) and the stores (204), a system (100) for creating a delivery route assists in determining whether the articles are to be delivered by a delivery route system or a home delivery system on the basis of cost calculation wherein a break-even point is examined. Under the delivery route system, the articles are delivered along a delivery route for sequentially delivering the articles from the base (202) to the respective stores (204) and returning to the base (202). Under the home delivery system, the delivery of the articles is commissioned to an external home-delivery company.
