Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for transmitting road weather information, wherein: road weather information is collected in road weather information (RWI) sensors; the collected road weather information is transmitted to an RWI center; the transmitted road weather information is transferred to a wireless RWI service center; and the transferred road weather information is transferred to a mobile receiving terminal through a communication medium, and further, with respect to the transmission of the road weather information, the present invention enables the road weather information to be collected in the RWI sensors and the collected road weather information to be immediately transferred to the mobile receiving terminal through the communication medium by the wireless RWI service center without passing through the RWI center, thereby reducing the time for collecting and processing the road weather information of each point or each section in the RWI center such that information can be immediately transmitted to users.
