Abstract:
Various systems and methods for treating a proximal humeral fracture are disclosed. A system (10) according to one embodiment includes a longitudinal member (12) configured to be received within the humeral shaft (26). The system includes a jig assembly (14) configured to be coupled to the longitudinal member, wherein the jig assembly includes at least one hole (18) defined therethrough that is configured to guide placement of at least one hole in the humeral shaft, and wherein the hole formed in the humeral shaft is configured to align with at least one hole in the humeral implant (22) such that the jig assembly is configured to locate the position of the humeral implant in the humeral shaft. d in the humeral shaft is configured to align with at least one hole in the humeral implant such that the jig assembly is configured to locate the position of the humeral implant in the humeral shaft.
