Abstract:
A system 1 for treating ship ballast water, provided with: a disinfectant storage tank 21 that stores a disinfectant and is attached to a ship S sailing a route that has a plurality of ports of call; a data acquisition means for acquiring stored disinfectant information relating to the effective chlorine concentration and the remaining amount of the disinfectant stored in the disinfectant storage tank 21; a data holding means for holding supplier information relating to a disinfectant supplier in each of the ports of call and route information relating to the call sequence and the call schedule regarding the ports of call; and a data computation means for establishing whether or not there is a need to order the disinfectant on the basis of the stored disinfectant information. When the data computation means establishes that there is a need to order the disinfectant, a determination is made on the basis of the supplier information and the route information to order a disinfectant from a disinfectant supplier in a particular port of call among the plurality of ports of call. This system for treating ship ballast water makes it possible to receive delivery of a disinfectant that that has experienced as little degradation as possible.
