Title:
SYSTEM FOR UNIFIED QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF VARIOUS FORMS OF CARBON AND NITROGEN WHICH EMPLOYS CALIBRATION CURVES BASED ON ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/064985
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To establish a method for unified analysis for the quantitative determination of TOC, IC, TC, DOC, POC, VOC, NVOC, PM2.5, VON, DON, PON, IN, ON, and TN. [Solution] In a first oven, a sample is decomposed in accordance with the material properties such as boiling point or decomposition point. In a second oven, the organic forms are burned. Finally, the first oven is heated to a high temperature to burn the inorganic forms. The thus-obtained various forms of carbon and nitrogen are quantitatively determined all together by means of calibration curves obtained with highly purified organic compounds having a known composition. The thus-determined values are approximated by means of other highly purified organic compounds having a known composition. Thus, a system capable of easy verification is established.
