Description:
SYSTEM OF VEHICLE'S TANK WITH BUILT-IN DETECTOR OF

ADULTERATED FUEL

This invention refers to a system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel. Common vehicles' tanks, being used for the storage of the vehicle's fuel are well- known. But, those tanks do not have the possibility to check and ascertain deliberate fuel adulterations of various forms, with the result of driver's deception, and on the other hand the destruction of the vehicle's engine. The important advantage of the present invention consists on the fact that with its application at the moment of customer's deception, this attempt of deception becomes ineffective, and on the other hand immediately perceivable. Hence, it is not possible to deceive and harm the driver, while the engine of the vehicle does not run any danger to be destroyed, something which is extremely painful especially when it comes to luxury expensive vehicles. Besides this, it is very likely, that the driver of the vehicle being equipped with the system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel, will avoid even the trial of deception, since the model of his vehicle will be known for its equipment with the present invention to the gas station owners and as a result they will not take the risk to supply the particular vehicle from the pump of adulterated fuel, but they will use the pump with the unadulterated fuel.

A simple way of presenting the system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel, according to this invention, is that this system has as a main feature the built-in to the vehicle's tank, detector of adulterated fuel. The system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel, consists apart from the well known tank for fuel storage, also from a smaller tank, with capacity 1-1.5 It, being situated above the main tank, immediately after the inlet of the external fuel entrance in the vehicle, a sensor detector of adulterated fuel, being situated inside the small tank on its lower part, a central valve on the lower part of the tank, for holding the fuel in case that this proves to be adulterated, a smaller valve, being situated next to the small tank, as well as from a pipe with a plug at its end, for the drainage of the fuel in case that this proves to be adulterated. The system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel, is connected with an optical digital indication SOS on the vehicle's instruments as well as acoustic warning. In case that the fuel proves to be adulterated, the indication lights up and the acoustic warning is being activated for the immediate interruption of supply. During the fuel supply procedure of the vehicle, as the initial quantity of fuel enters the small tank, the detection of the fuel is being conducted. In case that the system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel ascertains that the fuel is original (unadulterated), then the central valve opens automatically and the fuel is being directed in the main fuel tank. On the contrary, if the fuel proves to be adulterated, then the central valve remains closed, while automatically opens the side valve for the rejection, through the drainage pipe, of the adulterated fuel, while immediately on the vehicle's instruments appears the optical digital indication SOS for the fuel ineligibility, being also accompanied from the acoustic warning for the immediate interruption of supply. The system's valves return to their initial position with the locking of the tank or alternatively by starting the vehicle's engine or with any other mean that could be adopted in the future.

Characteristic of the present invention is the embodiment in the vehicle of the detector concerning adulterated fuels, which with its in time detection and warning averts the vehicle's supply with adulterated fuel, the destruction of the vehicle's engine and the driver's deception.

According to the present invention it would be also desirable for the system of vehicle's tank with built-in detector of adulterated fuel to be produced in a portable version, in order to cover those vehicles not being equipped from the factory with this invention as well as cover other general needs.

The present invention could be fully understood with the description that follows and in relation with the attached figures. In order to make it easier for the reader, identical reference numbers are being used for characterizing common elements in the figures.

Figure 1 , shows that above from the well known fuel tank (1) and more precisely below the inlet of the external fuel entrance in the vehicle (2) there is another smaller tank of capacity 1-1.5 It (3), which on the lower part has a central valve (4) and beside has one other smaller valve (5) as well as a drainage pipe (6), ending to a plug (9). Inside the small tank (3) and on its lower part the sensor detecting the fuel is being situated (7). During the moment of vehicle's fuel supply, the central valve (4) is closed and the fuel comes into the small tank (3) being accumulated in it (10) and being traced from the sensor. If the detector (7) ascertains that the fuel is clean, the central valve (4) opens immediately and automatically and the supply is being conducted normally until the fuel comes close to the valve's height, where a particular sound inform us that the supply has finished, in order for the fuel level to not overcome the height of the central valve. In case that the fuel is adulterated, the central valve (4) does not open, while at the same time an optical digital indication SOS in the vehicle's instruments, Figure 2 (8) and an acoustic warning alarm, inform for the need of immediate vehicle's supply interruption with adulterated fuel, while at the same time the side valve (5) opens automatically for the immediate rejection of the adulterated fuel through the drainage pipe (6), which is being rejected after the removal of the external plug (9). In this way the painful fact of vehicle's engine damage and driver's deception are being precluded.

Figure 3 shows the portable version of the present invention. In this case the tank (3) is smaller, of capacity approximately 1/2 - 2/3 It and inside this tank is being situated the sensor for detection (7), while there is only one valve, the central one (4), the opening and the closing of which is being done mechanically. The optical digital indication SOS is being depicted on the same device where is being embodied (8).
