Title:
SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING TARGET BIOLOGICAL MOLECULES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/081060
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A system, and corresponding method, for detecting a target biological molecule can include a reaction chamber enabling formation of a bead complex, a flowpath that transports the complex to an analysis region, and a spectrometer configured to analyze the complex. A dielectrophoretic pump, and a corresponding method, includes a channel layer with a microfluidic channel defined therein, an electrode layer adjacent to the channel layer including sets of mutually interdigitated electrodes, and a controller to drive the electrodes to cause directional travel of inorganic beads in the channel. Embodiments enable rapid, simultaneous analysis of multiple biological agents on a mobile platform.
