Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing a cost-sharing transportation service are provided. An exemplary method includes receiving first and second requests for a cost-sharing option of the transportation service from first and second users, respectively. The method also includes determining whether to fulfill the first and second requests using a same service vehicle shared by the first and second users. In response to a determination to fulfill the first and second requests using the same service vehicle shared by the first and second users, the method includes combining the first and second requests into a combined request, sending the combined request to one or more service providers, and locating a service provider to fulfill the combined request.
