Abstract:
Methods and systems for transforming a volume of material (10) into sleeves (12) by means of a transforming fastener (110). The transforming fastener (110) has multiple tracks (114, 116), each track having a pair of matable rows (122, 124, 126, 128). A slider (112) coupled to the rows (122, 124, 126, 128) transforms the volume of material (10) into sleeves (12) when the slider (112) moves along the rows (122, 124, 126, 128). The slider (112) accomplishes this transformation by fastening one of the pair of rows while simultaneously unfastening another of the pair of rows.
