Abstract:
Provided is a tableting pestle with which it is possible to simulate the tableting state of production equipment with test equipment, without altering a tableting machine. The tableting pestle according to the present invention is for use with a tableting machine which performs tableting by using a pressure roller to press a pair of pestles in the direction in which they draw near one another while concentrically rotating multiple pestle sets formed from pairs of the pestles. This tableting pestle is equipped with: a rod-shaped member having on one end a tableting surface for compressing a powder; and a head which has a flat surface that contacts the pressure roller during pressing and is provided on the other end of the rod-shaped member. The size of the flat surface in the radial direction is 5-35% of the radius of the head.
