Abstract:
Disclosed is a tactile feedback device in which, between dual chips, application processes are executed on the basis of pressing forces by exchanging signals related to detected pressing forces for tactile feedback. The tactile feedback device is equipped with: a touch sensor; a load detection unit that detects a pressing force on said touch sensor for tactile feedback; a tactile feedback unit that causes the touch surface of the touch sensor to vibrate; a tactile feedback control unit that controls the driving of said tactile feedback unit; and a main control unit that controls an application that performs processing according to pressing forces. The main unit transmits a pressing force detection instruction to the tactile feedback control unit when the application starts up, and transmits a pressing force stop instruction to the tactile feedback control unit when the application closes. When the pressing force detection instruction is received from the main control unit, the tactile feedback control unit starts detecting the pressing force, and when the pressing force stop instruction is received from the control unit, the tactile feedback control unit stops detecting the pressing force.
