Abstract:
Provided is a tactile sensor with which it is possible to sense a sensation characteristic of hairy skin. This tactile sensor (1) is provided with a base part (40), a displacement part (30), a displacement-part-supporting body (60) that supports the displacement part (30) so as to be capable of being displaced in a first direction relative to the base part (40), linear hairs (10) arranged along a second direction, a hair-anchoring part (20) to which proximal ends of the hairs (10) are anchored, a hair-anchoring-part-supporting body (50) that supports the hair-anchoring part (20) so as to be capable of turning relative to the displacement part (30), a displacement detector (80) that detects displacement of the displacement part (30) relative to the base body (40), and a turning detector (70) that detects turning of the hair-anchoring part (20) relative to the displacement part (30). It is possible to sense a sensation characteristic of hairy skin, i.e., perceptions such as of a liquid surface or static electricity, from the shear force and the moment that act on the hairs (10).
