Abstract:
Provided is a tag capable of reducing the processing load of a reader. The tag comprises: a detection radio wave reception antenna disposed so as to be able to receive a detection radio wave; a response radio wave transmission antenna disposed so as to be able to transmit a response radio wave; a received radio wave intensity measurement unit that measures the intensity of a detection radio wave received by the detection radio wave reception antenna; and a communication control unit that causes the response radio wave transmission antenna to transmit a response radio wave, if the value of the intensity of the detection radio wave measured by the received radio wave intensity measurement unit is greater than a variably set radio wave reception determination threshold value.
