Abstract:
A tailored blank provided with a first steel plate having a carbon content of at least 0.25 mass%, and a second steel plate which has a carbon content of 0.20 mass% or less and is butt-welded to the first steel plate, wherein the tailored blank has an intended top plate part forming a long shape, an intended side wall positioned at the side of the intended top plate part, and an intended flange part positioned at the side of the intended side wall part, a first steel plate part being formed by the first steel plate in some or all of the intended top plate part in the longitudinal direction thereof, a second steel plate part joined by welding to another member being formed by the second steel plate in the intended flange part, and some or all of the first steel plate part in the longitudinal direction thereof being positioned within the range of the second steel plate part in the longitudinal direction thereof.
