Abstract:
The invention relates to a tamper indicator for an aerosol-type container that comprises a container part and a spray mechanism secured on the container part. The tamper indicator (10) comprises a collar formation (26) and a cap (34) severable from the collar formation. The collar formation is securely locatable on the container part of an aerosol-type container in a configuration in which the cap covers the spray mechanism of the container, thus requiring severing of the cap from the collar formation in order to permit the contents of the container to be dispensed therefrom. Severance of the cap from the collar formation prior to a container having been formally purchased can thus indicate that the container has been tampered with and that part of the contents of the container may have been dispensed therefrom.
