Abstract:
Provided is a tangless helical coil insert inserting tool which has a simpler structure as compared with a conventional tool, which is also simply manufactured and assembled, accordingly the manufacturing cost of which can be reduced, and in addition which is excellent in operability.
The tangless helical coil insert inserting tool (1) comprises: a mandrel (43), at least the end portion of which forms a threaded axis (45) in order to insert a tangless helical coil insert (100) into a workpiece; and a pivot nail (80) provided with a nail portion (81) engaged with a notch (101) of an end coil portion of the tangless helical coil insert (100) screwed to the threaded axis (45). The pivot nail (80) has an elastic linking member (83) having one end fixed to a pivot nail attaching groove (71) and the other end attached to the nail portion (81). The elastic linking member (83) presses the nail portion (81) in the outward radial direction of the threaded axis (45) so that a hook portion (90) formed on the nail portion (81) is engaged with the notch (101) of the tangless helical coil insert (100) in a spring back fashion.
