Abstract:
The invention relates to a mobile tank for a cryogenic, that is to say supercooled propellant or fuel, specifically in particular for LNG, that is to say liquid natural gas or liquid methane. The invention also relates to an aircraft having said tank and to a method for retrofitting an aircraft with tanks of said type. According to the invention, a tank for a cryogenic propellant is provided with an external structure and with a flexible, pressure-resistant, cold-resistant internal envelope (4). To retrofit an aircraft with a tank for a cryogenic propellant, a tank for kerosene is lined with a foil (2), tiles (3) composed of plastic are adhesively bonded to the foil, and a pressure-resistant internal envelope (4) is applied, specifically preferably adhesively bonded, to the tiles (3).
