Title:
TAPE AUTO-LOADING DEVICE AND TAPE LINKING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/180858
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This tape auto-loading device loads a carrier tape onto a tape feeder, which expels through a predetermined route a cover tape that has been detached from a base tape of the carrier tape. This tape auto-loading device comprises: a temporary tape routing device for routing and holding a temporary tape along a pathway that follows a predetermined pathway; a cover tape gripping device for gripping the forward end of the detached cover tape; a linking device for linking the temporary tape to the forward end portion of the cover tape; and a transfer device for transferring, from the temporary tape routing device to the tape feeder, the temporary tape linked to the forward end portion of the cover tape. The linking device comprises: a tape support member for supporting the temporary tape and the forward end portion of the cover tape in a mutually overlapping state; and a heating member for sandwiching, together with the tape support member, a predetermined section wherein the temporary tape and the forward end portion of the cover tape overlap with one another, and adhering the cover tape to the temporary tape by means of heat. The tape support member and the heating member have shapes such that the members sandwich the predetermined section in a state of being bent halfway in the tape length direction.
