Abstract:
The disclosed tape cartridge (1) is provided with a reel (10) wherein a first flange member (5) and a second flange member (6) are assembled. A first hub section (5b) with which the first flange member is provided is fitted slidably to a second hub section (6b) with which the second flange member (6) is provided. The first flange member (5) is provided with first protrusions (5c) that contact the drive disc (102) of a tape-driving device (100). By means of the first protrusions (5c) contacting the drive disc (102), the first flange member (5) is pushed up. As a result, a first flange section (5a) with which the first flange member (5) is provided and a second flange section (6a) with which the second flange member (6) is provided are separated. As a result, a gap is formed between a tape (4) and the first flange section (5a).
