Abstract:

Provided is a tape cartridge in which a tape member with detection protrusions is smoothly dispensed from the tape dispensing opening. Also provided is a tape cartridge, which prevents mis-detection of the detection protrusions. The tape cartridge is provided with a label tape (101), a cartridge case in which the label tape (101) is held, and a platen roller that is held in the cartridge case and is for dispensing the label tape (101) by rotating. The label tape comprises: a backing sheet tape with multiple backing sheet protrusions that protrude from portions of an edge in the width direction; a printed tape (106) having multiple labels (105) peelably adhering on the backing sheet surface (107a) of the backing sheet tape exclusive of the multiple backing sheet protrusions, and non-label sections (120) peelably adhering to the backing sheet surface (107a) of the backing sheet protrusions to configure, together with the backing sheet protrusions, multiple detection protrusions (109); and exposed backing sheet surface sections (153), which are provided around the labels (105) and in which the backing sheet surface (107a) is exposed.
