Abstract:
In order to improve fixing properties of a thermal transfer ribbon during transfer and to improve printing quality, in a masking tape cassette that supplies masking tape including paper to a tape base layer, a tape cassette 31 has: a masking tape roll 53 having masking tape 301 wound thereupon; and a ribbon roll 56 having a thermal transfer ribbon 55 wound thereupon. The masking tape 301 comprises: a tape base layer 304 including paper; a printing ink layer 303 provided on one side, in the thickness direction, of the tape base layer 304 and including a polar resin and ink; a release layer 302 provided adjacent on one side, in the thickness direction, of the printing ink layer 303 and including a polar resin; and an adhesive layer 305 provided on the other side, in the thickness direction, of the tape base layer 304. The thermal transfer ribbon 55 comprises a ribbon base layer 155a and a transfer layer 155A provided in the thickness direction of the ribbon base layer 155a and including a polar resin.
