Abstract:
According to this invention, in a tape feeder (13), at the bottom surface section of a tape passage (42) wherethrough a component supply tape (24) passes, a support plate (43) for supporting the component supply tape is provided. A computer (31) acquires information regarding the type of support plate provided in the tape feeder, while acquiring information regarding the type of components in the component supply tape. Further, the computer refers to a database having accumulated therein data regarding suitable combinations of the types of support plate and the types of components in the component supply tape, determines the suitability of the combination of the type of support plate and the type of components in the component supply tape that have been acquired, and delivers a message corresponding to the result of the suitability determination of the combination, to at least one among a display device (33), an audio device, and a portable terminal.
