Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tape-paste banknote detecting apparatus of banknote counting and sorting machines for detecting a tape-paste banknote in the process of counting or sorting banknotes carried out in the banknote counting and sorting machines. In the tape-paste banknote detecting apparatus of banknote counting and sorting machines according to the present invention, a receiving ultrasonic sensor in a receiving ultrasonic sensing block has a receiving slit with a receiving hole smaller than the width of a tape of a tape-paste banknote so that when ultrasonic waves that are output from a transmitting ultrasonic sensor in a transmitting ultrasonic sensing block permeate a tape portion of a tape-paste banknote and a banknote without a tape, the receiving ultrasonic sensor can block the ultrasonic waves that permeate a banknote without a tape, and thus malfunction can be prevented and detection rate can be improved.
