Abstract:

Provided is a tape printing device or the like which makes it possible to smoothly mount and release a tape cartridge. The tape printing device is equipped with: a cartridge mounting section (5) in which a tape cartridge (100) having a platen roller (120) and a guidable part (182) is detachably mounted; two concave sections (16) into which fingers for gripping the tape cartridge (100) are insertable; a platen support shaft (48) into which the platen roller (120) is inserted; and a guide pin (50) into which the guidable part (182) is inserted. Furthermore, the guide pin (50) is positioned on the opposite side of the platen support shaft (48) across an imaginary line connecting the two concave sections (16), and is positioned in a location from which the distance to the concave section (16) positioned farther from the platen support shaft (48) is less than the distance to the concave section (16) positioned nearer the platen support shaft (48).
