Abstract:
Provided is a taper coupling structure wherein a taper shaft can be easily fitted in and removed from a hub. In a taper coupling structure (10), a groove (34) is formed in the rear end surface (HB) of a hub (30) by removing a part of the rear end surface. The groove (34) continuously extends in the circumferential direction, and the radius of the groove is constant. The groove (34) radially interferes with the taper shaft (20) while the taper shaft (20) is fitted in the hub (30). An inner shell portion (35) located on the inside of the groove (34) in the radial direction has a low rigidity in the radial direction because the groove (34) exists. Thus, if a force is applied outward from the hollow portion of a flange (32) in the radial direction, the diameter of the inner shell portion easily increases due to the elastic displacement (deflection) in the radial direction. Therefore, the surface pressure at a position corresponding to the portion in which the groove (34) is formed, is reduced and, accordingly, the taper shaft (20) can be easily fitted in and removed from the hub (30).
