Abstract:
Provided is a tapered roller bearing (1) comprising an inner ring (12) having a conical raceway surface (12a) on the outer circumference thereof, an outer ring (13) having a conical raceway surface (13a) on the inner circumference thereof, a plurality of tapered rollers (14) incorporated between two raceway surfaces (12a, 13a), and a cage (15) for accommodating the tapered rollers (14), said tapered roller bearing being characterized in that: from among the inner ring (12) and the outer ring (13), at least the inner ring (12) has a cut crowning of a compound curve formed on the raceway surface (12a) thereof, which comprises a center curve (C1) provided at a central section in the bus line direction of the raceway surface, and an end curve (C2) having a curvature radius smaller than that of the center curve (C1) and provided on both sides of the central curve (C1) in the bus line direction; on a rolling surface (16) of the tapered rollers (14), a straight section (16a) provided at a central section in the bus line direction of the rolling surface, and logarithmic crowning sections (16b, 16c) on both sides of the straight section (16a) in the bus line direction are formed; and when the effective raceway surface width of the raceway surface (12a) of the inner ring (12) is LG, and the width of the straight section (16a) of the rolling surface (16) of the tapered rollers (14) is LW1, 0.7≤LW1/LG<0.95 is satisfied.
