Abstract:
A tapping screw for soft materials having a strip torque sufficiently large relative to a screwing torque and an increased allowable width of tightening torque, characterized in that the gradient of a flank of each screw thread in the screwing direction is formed sharper than that on the other side, the crest part of each thread and the flank on the other side are rounded, and also the area of each flank connected to the root of each thread is rounded.
