Abstract:
A target directional carrier capable of delivering any desired drug (for example, physiologically active peptide or gene coding for the same) selectively to target cells or tissue within a living body. In particular, there is provided a target directional carrier comprising a polypeptide having MAM domain or having the same in part thereof, or a nucleic acid having a gene coding for the polypeptide having MAM domain or having the same in part thereof, which target directional carrier is adapted to bind any desired drug to thereby achieve delivery of the drug to target tissue. There is further provided a target directional drug complex comprised of the target directional carrier having a drug to be delivered to target tissue bound thereto.
