Abstract:
A target distance adjustable nozzle and method suitable for abrasive water jet rail polishing, comprising a nozzle body (1), an outer cover (2), a lower baffle (3), a support frame (5), and an upper baffle (6) that are provided on the same central axis. The nozzle body (1) is connected to the upper baffle (6) by means of a thread; a target distance of the nozzle can be adjusted by screwing the nozzle body (1) to move; the outer cover (2), the lower baffle (3), and the support frame (5) are sleeved on the nozzle body (1) to limit the radial displacement of the nozzle body; a pressure sensor (4) is provided between the nozzle body (1) an the support frame (5); a spring (7) is provided between the support frame (5) and the upper baffle (6); the elastic coefficient of the spring (7) is measured by means of a calibration gauge (8) and a read pressure value; an upper computer generates a "pressure-displacement curve comparison table" according to the elastic coefficient; and after an adjustment distance needed for an optimal target distance of the nozzle is measured, the upper computer provides a pressure threshold, and the nozzle body (1) is screwed, such that the pressure borne by the spring (7) reaches the threshold, and then the adjustment work of the optimal target distance can be completed. The nozzle can be independently adjusted, without affecting the target distance precision of other nozzles, the operation method is simple, and the target distance adjusting precision is high.
