Abstract:
A target monitoring device according to the present invention estimates the status of a target on the basis of a plurality of received signals obtained by a plurality of receiving antennas that individually receive radio wave signals arriving from the target via a plurality of communication paths. The target monitoring device is provided with: a measurement unit (61) that sequentially calculates a plurality of measured values on the basis of the plurality of received signals; a status detection unit (62A) that monitors time differences of arrival or frequency differences of arrival included in the plurality of measured values to detect whether or not the target is moving; and computation units (63A, 64A, 65) that execute positioning computation and tracking computation. The computation units (63A, 64A, 65) execute positioning computation to calculate a status estimation value indicating an estimated position of the target when it is detected that the target is not moving, and execute tracking computation to sequentially calculate status estimation values indicating both estimated positions and moving statuses of the target when a change from a stationary status to a moving status of the target is detected.
