Title:
TARGET PROTEIN OF ANTIDIABETIC AGENT AND NOVEL ANTIDIABETIC AGENT “INSUFUL” CORRESPONDING THERETO
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/054468
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It is intended to clarify a target molecule of an antidiabetic agent such as a thiazolidine derivative. Namely, a method of screening an antidiabetic agent which comprises: the step of bringing a candidate substance to be screened with the protein (a) or (b) as mentioned below: (a) a protein comprising the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2; or (b) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence derived from the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 by deletion, substitution, addition or insertion of one or more amino acids and interacting with an antidiabetic agent; and the step of detecting the interaction between the candidate substance and the protein.
