Abstract:
A task chairs that support the body of the user in healthy positions while the user performs various tasks over extended sitting periods and that provide independent and independently adjustable support to the lower and the upper back. Specifically, the chair includes two adjustable back support members (132 and 133), which are adjustably secured to separate arm supports (134,135) respectively, which are secured to spring hinge means (167,168), respectively, which are secured to seat base (137). Two adjustable forearm support members (140 and 141) are also secured to seat base means.
