Abstract:
Provided are a task scheduling method and apparatus. When scheduling a task to be executed by a first target virtual machine, a scheduler first obtains at least one task with the highest priority in a queue of tasks to be executed by the first target virtual machine, so as to ensure that the task with the highest priority is preferentially executed; then, a first task with the minimum virtual running time is further determined from the at least one task with the highest priority, and finally the first target virtual machine is controlled to execute the first task, thereby ensuring the fair scheduling of a task from at least one task of the same priority. Therefore, by means of the present application, when scheduling the task on the first target virtual machine, the scheduler can ensure that a task with a high priority is preferentially scheduled, and can also achieve fairness when scheduling tasks of the same priority.
