The purpose of the present invention is to provide a tea powder composition that is perceived as enjoyable when dissolved in an aqueous medium, such as cold or hot water, and drunk.　This tea powder composition has been made to include one or more among solid particles A that have a particle diameter of greater than 4 mm and less than or equal to 5.6 mm and a thickness of less than or equal to 4 mm, solid particles B that have a particle diameter of greater than 2.8 mm and less than or equal to 4 mm and a thickness of less than or equal to 2.8 mm, solid particles C that have a particle diameter of greater than 2 mm and less than or equal to 2.8 mm and a thickness of less than or equal to 2 mm, solid particles D that have a particle diameter of greater than 1.4 mm and less than or equal to 2 mm and a thickness of less than or equal to 1.4 mm, and solid particles E that have a particle diameter of greater than 1 mm and less than or equal to 1.4 mm and a thickness of less than or equal to 1 mm, wherein the total included quantity of the solid particles A-E is adjusted to be greater than or equal to 10 wt%, and the included quantity of solid particles that have a particle diameter surpassing 5.6 mm is adjusted to be less than or equal to 15 wt%.
