Abstract:
A tea table with a height adjustable table top fixed by means of a ratchet mechanism (8) comprises a base section (1), a table top (2), drawers (3) and a raising mechanism. The drawers (3) are secured to the base section (1). The raising mechanism comprises an upper support means (4) secured to the table top (3), a lower support means (5) secured to the base section (1) and links (6) hinged to the upper support means (4) and the lower support means (5), respectively. The links (6) comprises an upper link (61) and a lower link (62). The lower end of the lower link (62) is connected with one end of a spring (7), the other end of the spring (7) is connected with the end of the lower support means (5). The ratchet mechanism (8) is provided on the lower end of the upper link (61). The ratchet mechanism (8) comprises a ratchet (81) secured to the upper link (61), a cam (83) float-connected on the ratchet axle (82), a pawl (84) hinged on the lower support means (5) and an elastic element (85). One end of the elastic element (85) issecured to the lower support means (5), the other end of which is pressed on the pawl (84). With the ratchet mechanism, it is possible to fix the table top (2) at different heights relative to the base section (1), and the table top (2) can be raised safely and conveniently.
