The present invention relates to a telephone lottery game in which the participants record lottery data as well as an identification code using a telephone. This method comprises recording as lottery data and as the identification code the telephone number (or a part thereof) of the participant, and fixing said number on a subscriber's line of an automatic local-exchange telephone network using an automatic number identification. Preferably, a quiz is previously carried out and the answers are recorded according to coded telephone numbers-apparatus. The lottery drawing is then carried out from the telephone numbers of the participants who recorded a correct answer. The device of the present invention includes an information electronic processing and recording unit as well as a telephone unit which is connected to an automatic local-exchange telephone network. This telephone unit comprises a plurality of multiple-channel apparatus-telephones which have different subscriber line numbers and are each fitted with an automatic number identifier connected to the information electronic processing and recording unit.
