A telephoto lens, comprising, from the object side to the image side: a first lens (E1) with positive focusing power, the object side (S1) of the first lens is a convex surface; a second lens (E2) with focusing power; a third lens (E3) with focusing power; a fourth lens (E4) with focusing power; a fifth lens (E5) with positive focusing power, the object side (S9) of the fifth lens is a concave surface; a sixth lens (E6) with positive focusing power, the object side (S11) of the sixth lens near the axis is a concave surface, and the image side (S12) of the sixth lens is a convex surface. The telephoto lens satisfies the following relations: 0.75 < TTL/f < 1.0 and ImgH/f < 0.55; wherein TTL is an axial distance from the object side surface of the first lens to an image forming surface (S15); f is an effective focal length of the telephoto lens; and ImgH is half of the length of a diagonal line across an effective pixel area of an imaging surface. The telephoto lens can ensure a long-focusing property of a lens. A smaller field of view and a longer focal length can shorten the length of the telephoto lens system and achieve miniaturization of the telephoto lens.
