Description:
TELESCOPIC POLE FOR JOINT OPENING OF CASEMENTS IN

DOUBLE WINDOWS

The subject of invention is a telescopic pole for joint opening of casements in double windows, which enables, that with the help of a handle in the inner casement we can at the same time open or close also the exterior casement, when both casements have standard closing mechanisms installed. The invention belongs to the class E05F 3/00 of international patent classification.

A technical problem successfully resolved by the invention is the construction and implementation of an element that would enable simultaneous opening and closing of double windows.

Double windows, for which the described solution of joint opening and closing is presented, are basically coffer windows that are mostly made for facilities under monuments care and preservation, as it is demanded that the outlook of the new windows is a perfect copy of the old ones, and this also enables great quality of sound and thermal isolation. Both casements of one- or two-casement windows are connected with a coffer that has a standard fixed depth and does not depend on the thickness of the wall. The problem that occurs with such windows is their opening and closing, as we first need to open the interior casement and then the exterior wing. Also partial opening only for ventilation presents a problem with such windows.

A telescopic pole for joint opening of casements in double windows according to invention enables simple opening and closing of interior and exterior window, by connecting itself to the closing mechanisms of both window casements through swivel segments and bolt part.

The invention will be thoroughly explained on the basis of implementation example and the figures that demonstrate: Figure 1 axonometric view of double window with the telescopic pole according to invention installed;

Figure 2 telescopic pole in partial cross-section.

Figure 1 shows a double window in axonometric view with the telescopic pole according to invention installed. The telescopic pole is basically placed in the way that enables to connect the closing mechanisms of both window casements, which can be of standard implementation, and also enables later installation of telescopic pole according to invention.

Telescopic pole 1 for joint opening of double windows according to invention is composed of segments, for example preferentially of three segments 1a, 1b, 1c, which can telescopically fold together. In cross- section the segments 1a, 1b, 1c, can have any form, for example a rectangle, circle, triangle, ellipse etc. The initial segment 1a and final segment 1c have swivel elements 2a ,and 2b placed on the free ends, and the other ends continue into corks 3a and 3b. The swivel elements 2a and 2b must ensure the movement of corks 3a, 3b, in all directions; they can be cardan or similar swivel elements. The cork 3a is inserted into the orifice of the closing mechanism (instead of a hook) at the exterior casement, and the cork 3b is inserted in the orifice of the closing mechanism for inner casement, while a handle is placed on it on the inner side of window casement. The segment 1c of telescopic pole 1 also has a closing cork 4, which together with a pointer 5 on the attaching holder 6 of the inner window casement permits partial inclination of both window casements for the case of ventilation.

Installation and operation of telescopic pole 1 for joint opening of double window casements according to the invention will be given in the continuation.

Both casements of single or double casement windows that are connected by a coffer can have a recognized standard mechanism for closing with one, two or three-point sticking and the possibility of inclination for individual casement. For the assembly of telescopic pole 1 according to invention, a cork 3a is inserted on the exterior casement into the handle orifice and secured with screws that are holding the holder 6 of pointer 5. From the interior side, the cork 3b is inserted into the handle orifice of inner casement mechanism, where also a handle is placed. The length of segment 1c and of both swivel elements 2a and 2b must comply with the width of the box, meaning the, distance between both casements.

When you twist the handle for closing, the movement of telescopic pole 1 causes the mechanism in inner casement to move together with the mechanism in the exterior casement and this way both windows are closed.

To open, twist the handle in the direction of opening, and the connection with telescopic pole 1 will cause the movement of both mechanisms (inner and exterior casement). After releasing the corks of the mechanism both casements can be opened; opening of the inner casement with the help of telescopic pole 1 and swivel elements 2a and 2b will also open the exterior casement.

If we wish to open both casements only for ventilation, we turn the handle in the pointed direction. When the handle moves, the mechanisms in both casements enable to place the hinges in a position in which both casements can be inclined. In this position, the closing cork 4 is stuck with the pointer 5, so that it is possible to pull the handle and incline both casements at the same time. This way you can incline both casements with only one move and enable simple ventilation.

The telescopic pole for joint opening of casements in double windows, which enables, that with the help of a handle in the inner casement we can at the same time open or close also the exterior casement, successfully resolves the presented technical problem, and next to simple opening and closing of both window casements it also enables simple ventilation by inclining both window casements at the same time.
