Abstract:
An audio and video playing method for a television comprises the following steps: initializing a hardware drive of a television; setting a potential state of a General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) interface to a first level, and playing startup audio and video; monitoring changes in the potential state of the GPIO interface; and playing audio and video of a television program when it is detected that the potential state of the GPIO interface switches from the first level to a second level, the potential state of the GPIO interface being set to the second level according to a playing state of the startup audio and video. Also disclosed is a television. The present invention can solve the problem of asynchronous playing of audio and video of a television program after startup audio and video of a television are finished, so as to improve experience of a user when watching the television.
