The television comprises a display control module (10), backlight liquid crystal glass (20) and a liquid crystal display panel (30), wherein the backlight liquid crystal glass (20) is arranged between a backlight light source and the liquid crystal display panel (30); the display control module (10) is connected to the backlight liquid crystal glass (20), and is used for receiving an image signal and adjusting, according to the image signal, the light transmittance of an area corresponding to each pixel unit in the backlight liquid crystal glass (20); the display control panel module (10) is connected to the liquid crystal display panel (30) and is used for controlling, according to the image signal, the liquid crystal display panel (30) to display an image while adjusting the light transmittance of the area corresponding to each pixel unit in the backlight liquid crystal glass (20).
