Abstract:
It is possible to register a recording reservation by using the VPS/PDC signal and view a television broadcast program even within a time window. For this, a television broadcast signal reception device can record by reservation a television broadcast signal on which the broadcast start time is superimposed as character multiplex data (VPS/PDC signal). The device includes channel scan off means (2a) for registering a reserved recording using the VPS/PDC signal and scanning off the channel scan when in the time window.
