Abstract:
A television device according to an embodiment which plays audio and video on the basis of a stream comprises: a play processing unit which carries out signal processing upon the stream and plays the audio and video; a power supply unit which supplies power to the play processing unit when the television device is in an operation state, and which does not supply power to the play processing unit when the television device is in a standby state; an MHL terminal, further comprising a power supply bus for supplying power to an external device; and a control unit which supplies the power by the power supply bus to the external device when the television device is in the operation state, and which switches whether to supply the power by the power supply bus to the external device when the television device is in the stand-by state.
