Abstract:
The present invention provides a television device that provides a user with a plurality of acquisition methods collectively for viewing the whole of a program. A television device 1 has, as a recording complementary function for recording the whole of a prescribed broadcast program from the beginning: a temporary recording and search unit 203 for temporarily recording a broadcast program on each channel in a ring buffer by a recording unit 7 and obtaining the prescribed broadcast program by a search from the ring buffer; rebroadcast search and recording units 204-207 for searching for a schedule of rebroadcasting at a later time of the same program as the prescribed broadcast program and reserving recording of the rebroadcast and obtaining same; and external content acquisition units 208-211 for searching via a communication unit 106 for a content provided by an external device 6 and acquiring the same content as the prescribed broadcast program. Priority is set to the processing by each of the temporary recording and search unit, the rebroadcast search and recording units, and the external content acquisition units.
