Abstract:
This induction heating device is provided with a top plate, a detection unit, an optical filter, a heating coil, and a control unit. A cooking container is placed on the top plate. The detection unit detects infrared ray energy irradiated from the cooking container. The optical filter is disposed between the top plate and the detection unit. The control unit acquires first infrared ray energy detected by the detection unit when the filter characteristics of the optical filter are set to first filter characteristics, and second infrared ray energy detected by the detection unit when the filter characteristics of the optical filter are set to second filter characteristics. The control unit calculates the temperature of the cooking container on the basis of the ratio of the first infrared ray energy to the second infrared ray energy. The control unit supplies high-frequency current to the heating coil in response to the temperature of the cooking container.
