Abstract:
Provided is a temperature estimation device (13) that estimates driving duty ratio considering effects of ambient temperature with respect to energization to a coil portion on the basis of the driving duty ratio and the ambient temperature, estimates electric power consumption of a motor (2) when the coil portion is energized with the estimated driving duty ratio, electric power consumption of the motor (2) involving heat dissipation of the coil portion, electric power difference between the two electric power consumption, temperature time constant of the coil portion, and temperature change amount during time of the temperature time constant of the coil portion, and estimates temperature change amount from the ambient temperature of the coil portion on the basis of thus estimated values and a last value of the temperature change amount of the coil portion.
