Abstract:
This temperature input unit (100) has a function for measuring the temperature of an object to be measured by at least one of a thermocouple (1) and a temperature measuring resistor, and is provided with a disconnection detecting circuit (16) that applies a disconnection detecting current for detecting a disconnection between the thermocouple (1) and a compensation lead wire (2) connected to the thermocouple. Before measuring the temperature of the object to be measured with the thermocouple (1), a control unit (20) controls a terminal switching unit (13) and an input circuit switching unit (14), thereby connecting the compensation lead wire (2) to a temperature measuring resistor input circuit (18) and an A/D converting unit (19), and derives a prediction value of a voltage drop generated by the resistance of the compensation lead wire (2) when the disconnection detecting current has been applied. The control unit (20) controls the terminal switching unit (13) and the input circuit switching unit (14), thereby connecting the compensation lead wire (2) to a thermocouple input circuit (15) and the A/D converting unit (19), subtracts the prediction value from the measurement value of a thermoelectromotive force detected by the thermocouple input circuit (15), and derives a measurement value of the corrected thermoelectric force
