Abstract:
A temperature sensor comprises: an infrared sensor for converting thermal energy of infrared rays radiated from an object into electric energy and outputting an output voltage depending on the thermal energy; and a calculation device for calculating the temperature of the object according to the output voltage. The calculation device includes: a function storage unit for storing a function for converting the output voltage into the temperature of the object; a calculation unit for substituting the output voltage into the function stored in the function storage unit and obtaining the temperature of the object; and an output unit for outputting a temperature signal indicating the temperature of the object obtained in the calculation unit. The function is an equation created in advance on the basis of the relationship that the output voltage is proportional to the difference between the absorption energy density of the infrared sensor, which is expressed as a value depending on the temperature of the object according to the Planck's radiation law, and the radiation energy density of the infrared sensor, which is expressed as a value depending on the temperature of the infrared sensor according to the Stefan-Boltzmann law.
