Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tempered glass manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method and, more specifically, to a tempered glass manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method, wherein tempered glass can be continuously manufactured by transferring raw plate glass in one direction, a heated potassium nitrate solution is sprayed onto the raw plate glass to temper the raw plate glass, and the potassium nitrate solution dropping from the raw plate glass can be recovered and reused. The tempered glass manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method according to the present invention enable the continuous manufacture of tempered glass, thus reducing the manufacturing time of tempered glass, have an economic advantage as the purchase cost of a potassium nitrate solution can be reduced, and involve pre-heating, tempering, and slow-cooling raw plate glass in pre-heating, tempering, and slow-cooling sections divided in a single furnace, and thus, due to less exposure to the outside during transfer to each step, there is a lower possibility that impurities are adhered to the raw plate glass, and accordingly, a deterioration in quality can be prevented.
